durch den Ablauf der Amtszeit von Director Hills ist die Stelle des Direktors der Federal Reserve Bank wieder vakant. Für eine weitere Amtszeit steht Mrs Hills leider nicht mehr zur Verfügung. Das Department of Commerce hat sich daher dazu entschlossen eine Stellenausschreibung zu starten.
Die Rechten und Pflichten der Federal Reserve Bank und deren Leitung sind im Federal Reserve Bank Act beschrieben. Ich möchte hier nochmals in aller Deutlichkeit herausstellen, dass der zukünftige Direktor der Federal Reserve Bank nicht der Regierung untersteht.
Im Sinne eines aktiven und funktionalen Wirtschaftswesens, möchte ich Sie, in Ihrer Funktion als politische Verantwortungsträger, auffordern, sich mit der Stellenausschreibung auseinanderzusetzen und ggf. einen geeigneten Kandidaten für das vakante Amt vorzuschlagen.
