    The Chair has recived notice of the resignation of Mr Montgomery Bracewell from the U.S. Senate.


    Thereby, a vacancy in the Office of the Senator for Astoria has emerged. Such vacancy must be filled as provided by the Laws of the State concerned (Art. III Sec. 4 Ssc. 5 Constitution of the United States). The applicable provisions of the Laws of this State are contained in the Senatorial By-Election Act.
    Persuant to the precedent set in [Trial] [Constitutional Procedure AA] Varga, Deputy of the State Assembly et alt. ./. Gardner, Chairman of the State Assembly, the Chair will only admit Commoners qualified under the U.S. Constitution to vote on the question presented in this procedure.


    The Chair calls for Candidatures to be declared within 48 hours.

    an mich wurde unter anderem die Bitte des State Democratic Committee herangetragen, mich um die Nachfolge von Senator Bracewell zu bewerben. Es wäre mir eine Ehre, den Vereinigten Staaten in diesem Amt dienen zu dürfen und die Interessen der astorianischen Bürgerinnen und Bürger im U.S. Senate vertreten zu dürfen.


    Daher erkläre ich hiermit meine Kandidatur und übergebe zugleich den Vorsitz der Assembly in diesem Wahlverfahren an den Speaker pro tempore, Commoner Ben Kingston:.
